We finished the campaign except for preaching Sunday in Bonaberi. I may have some prospects to teach there so I will give the final figures on Sunday night. Here is how the day unfolded:
Got up at 7:30 and was able to do a bunch of work on the computer. Did some more writing as well as things connected with the campaign. We went to the church hall and taught a young man named Jacob. He is one of those people who believe that all churches are fine and that Jesus shepherds them all. We looked at Romans 6:17 that says there is a form of teaching. Over here you can easily use that word because many of the buildings are made with blocks. They come from the same mold or form so they are the same size. Paul clearly teaches that there is a form of teaching, not many. Furthermore, the Bible is clear regarding the fact that Jesus built one church and no more. Another strike that Jacob has against him is that he lives with a brother who is a denominational preacher. The devil certainly did his homework when he divided those who believe in Jesus and started numerous churches. We know that those denominations are populated with good people but as Jesus said in Matthew 7:21; it is only those who do the will of God that will enter Heaven. What is fascinating in that text is that the evildoers He mentions not only called Him Lord but did things in His name. Cornelius, in Acts 10, is a great example of a religious and moral man who was lost. The issue is not that goodness is a bad thing but that we must bring our lives and doctrine into conformity with the will of God. We then came back to the hotel and had linner or lupper, whichever you prefer. I am capable of eating the same thing over and over again which is good over here. I did spaghetti for the 3rd day in a row and for 3 consecutive days it has been OUTSTANDING. Even Jean Claude tried it today which is strange for him and he said it was EXCELLENT. Simon came and picked us for the evening worship and it was edifying, as usual. The picture on the left is the foundation that they have started so I wasn’t completely correct yesterday. On the right is a picture of Simon, Nadedge and the children. Far left is Herman, then Daniel and Nadedge is holding Esther. Have I ever told you that packing is for the birds? If not, I should have! If I did, I do not apologize for the repeat statement. I do not understand people who like to travel. Oh well, there are people who don’t understand how I can love golf (although they are head cases). Will finish packing soon and try to get to bed early as we leave the hotel at 6:30 in the morning.
Jean Claude and I are doing well and we thank you for your prayers. The brethren asked me to greet everyone in America which is beyond my ability but I will say hi to you!
