I have done a good job of getting to bed at a reasonable hour on this trip but you can see that such is not the case today. This may be briefer than usual as I want to get to bed soon. Got up this morning at 8 with the Cameroonian brethren scheduled for 9. Didn’t think they would make it and I was right. Actually, Louis and Linda got here at 9:15 and then Jean Claude and Lucy came a bit later. We went to the wood market. I didn’t buy anything as Linda didn’t have a list for me. We were there for about 90 minutes. Took a taxi back to the hotel and dumped our stuff and headed for lunch. Ashley, Louis, Linda and I rode machines back and Don was not happy because he had to ride in a taxi. Did a bunch of miscellaneous stuff in the afternoon with Jean Claude and Louis as we mapped out the seminar printing for February. The total bill is over $1,500. Left at 6 for the combined service of the 4 Douala congregations. It is always a great period of fellowship. Don preached tonight and had an excellent sermon! The traffic is amazing; once again I realize how much superior a machine is to a taxi in Douala.
1. Each church has a representative come up and say some nice words to us for the work that was done. While the representative from Bonaberi was talking the power went out. Louis was translating and he said: “I’m in trouble.” The power stayed off for the balance of the service but between two candles and some flashlights we did well.
2. Today I saw a Ford SUV (you see few American made cars here) and yesterday Don and I saw a pink Chevy pickup.
Pictures below of the team. My room is a mess as I get ready to pack for tomorrow. Will sign off now and write again tomorrow. We are all fine and appreciate your prayers.
