Day has been great thus far. Had a good period of worship this morning at Buckingham Road and the brethren had a special prayer for our team. Got home and winded down miscellaneous things and Tom, Wendy and Lincoln. Picked me up. Wendy is Tom’s wife and Lincoln is there 4 year old daughter. Got out to DFW with no problems (well, we did take a wrong turn but it was my fault) and got our boarding passes. Then visited with Linda et al and then went in around 4. No problems with security and we got to the gate and boarded a few minutes late. Flight is mostly full and we have exit rows with extra leg room. Some of you think I take extra stuff: Tom had Snicker doodles that Wendy had made. I didn’t really want one but wanted to be polite so I forced one down. Tom also brought his own bottled tea! Had a GREAT supper (is there any other kind on a plane). I just watched Ernest Goes to Camp so feel that I am adequately dumbed down (kind of know what it feels like to be Teresa Blaisdell). We are going to land 30 minutes early in about 4 hours. My brother Don along with his daughters Ashley and Gabby are leaving tomorrow and will fly straight through whereas Tom and I will overnight in Paris. Don and his girls are going to spend a couple of extra days in Paris on the return. I will start placing pictures from Africa by Wednesday (I hope) but for now you will have to take American pictures. Below are our kids, Michael and Bapp. Am going to do a few other things on the computer and will then try and sleep.

How time flies. You just read what took place over 8 hours ago. Since then I slept on the plane for about 3 hours, did some reading and some ‘clean-up’ of computer files. Landed ahead of schedule and cleared Customs quicker than usual and the bags were all here. Took a long time to get the hotel shuttle but made it with no problems. Only one room was ready so we dumped all of our stuff in my room and headed downtown. Found a good place to eat and enjoyed the meal. Then went to a bakery to get a couple of things for tonight but when we got back discovered that they were not made to travel! Went to Notre Dame and then to the Eifel Tower. Tom was of great help to me and we did not get lost or on the wrong train a single time! You can see below that I know how to post interesting pictures. The ‘john’ that Tom used is on the street and is free! Notice how clean they keep it! Not all that different from the public restrooms in Cameroon. Got back around 6 or so and I have had a nice bath. A number of miscellaneous things to do but I hope to be in bed no later than 9 which will allow me to get 9 hours of sleep. Looking forward to seeing Don, Ashley and Gabby tomorrow. Keep praying and I will send again, Lord willing, tomorrow. I miss Linda and am so grateful for having such a GREAT wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember to pray for us and email me.
