Dear All:

Today was the last day of ‘semi-fast’ (I use the term somewhat loosely) internet. Still cannot send so if there is anyone out there who knows how to solve my problem, please let me know. Got up around 7 this morning and had slept well. Got on the computer and read some emails and tried to send but still could not. Jean Claude got here around 9:30 and we did a few things here. Louis came shortly thereafter. Louis, Kurt and I went to the grocery store to buy some things for the trip next week. From Wednesday through Sunday we will have to eat ‘out of our suitcase’ as the hotel restaurant in Muyuka is not trustworthy. We then went to a restaurant nearby that we went to a couple of times back in February. Don’t ever go to a restaurant here if you are in a hurry or about to starve to death. If you do, your funeral will be carried out within a day or two. Had a good visit plus we got to eat ice cream. I really didn’t want to get any but Kurt said it would be good for me (or something like that). On the way back Jean Claude was commenting on the size of Kurt’s stomach but Kurt pointed out that that was simply a case of the comode calling the kettle black! Kurt wanted to know how much Jean Claude weighed and he said about 98. Understand we are talking Kilos and not pounds. That is about 216 pounds or roughly 55 less than Teresa Blaisdell. Actually, I think Teresa is only about 225 but I am just going by what Richard says! This afternoon I had a good visit with Vincent. He is such a good brother. He was sharing some of the discouraging facets of his ministry. The devil works very hard and one of his greatest tools is that of discouragement. The work here still has a myriad of problems and will not be conquered in a short period of time. I just got off the phone with Linda so I am happy. She is such a GREAT wife to put up with my schedule; not with me but my schedule! Hope the email starts working soon. For those of you who have emailed me; I will get back to you as soon as possible. We are going to leave around 7 in the morning. Trip to Bamenda is about 7 hours. We are doing well and appreciate each prayer so much!
